It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a member of our veterinary community and previous member of the LAVA executive. Donna Gingras had been a veterinary technician for over 40 years, working in clinics, research and managerial positions throughout her career. In more recent years, Donna took much pride in her volunteer work with local community outreach programs (CHPP, THS) as well as traveling the world with the World Vets team. Taking care of animals and their people was a lifelong passion for Donna and many co-workers and clients became lifelong friends. She will be missed for her wealth of experience and great compassion for animals and people alike. There will a memorial on August 10^th to celebrate Donna’s life. The details are below. The family asks that donations be made to World Vets (or your preferred community outreach program) in lieu of flowers. LAVA will be donating to World Vets in memory of Donna.
