Bio:

Lindsay has been working as an RVT since 2009, in a variety of small animal practices, including emergency medicine and dental referral, across both Ontario and Alberta. She is happy to call Imperial Road Animal Hospital “home,” where she serves as Practice Manager and a practicing RVT. Lindsay was proud to be selected as a recipient of the 2021 OAVT Advancement Fund, named the 2023 CommuniVet RVT PowerUp winner, and had an opportunity to be a panelist for “Real Talk on full utilization: What it actually means for RVTs in practice,” hosted by CommuniVet in October 2025.

Throughout her career, she has remained passionate about advancing the RVT role—not just in title, but in purpose and impact. Her mission has always been to help others become the best version of themselves within their profession.

Her commitment to RVT advocacy remains unwavering. She believes in building teams where RVTs are not just contributors, but essential, skilled professionals with a voice at the table.

Synopsis:

What does having an RVT look like in your practice?

Are your RVTs simply supporting you — performing TPRs, gathering patient histories, expressing anal glands, and trimming nails? What if they could be doing more?

In this session, we’ll explore how team-based medicine is reshaping the future of veterinary care, with a focus on RVT-led care models and what they look like in day-to-day practice.
